Custom content management system for the SCS4ALL student organization

I was a member of the SCS4ALL webteam and developed a custom content management system for the SCS4ALL student-run organization at the School of Computer Science in Carnegie Mellon University. I also conducted security audits of the source code across the website collection.

Scope

My responsibilities included:

Designing and implementing a custom CMS tailored to SCS4ALL's needs

Creating a consistent visual identity and branding system

Improving user experience for content editors

Conducting security audits and vulnerability assessments

Implementing security best practices across the website collection

Impact

The custom CMS gave SCS4ALL full control over their web presence and brand, while maintaining high security standards. The consistent branding and improved UX helped communicate SCS4ALL's identity and mission to the university community.

Design principles

Focused on making content management intuitive for non-technical student editors while maintaining security and brand consistency.

Impact

Provided SCS4ALL with a professional, secure web presence that could grow and evolve with the organization.
